Portrait Commission DEPOSIT
This listing is a deposit to secure your commission for GUARANTEED CHRISTMAS DELIVERY. I am only taking 4 commissions so once they’re filled this listing will be removed.
HOW IT WORKS:
Once you complete your order, your spot is secured, BUT YOUR WORK IS NOT DONE!
Email me your reference photos to: [email protected] and I will follow up with you to start working on your piece!
I will give you a formal price based on your photo, which will be paid prior to completion of your piece.
This $20 deposit will be taken from the total cost of your embroidery.
Remaining payments will be accepted through PayPal, Venmo, or cashapp.
The full cost of your embroidery will depend on the complexity of your piece — once I have received your photograph I can give you an accurate quote.
FAQ:
How much will my piece cost?
-Prices vary based on the complexity of the design (filling in hair, clothes, and other textures are more time consuming so pricing will reflect that) but pieces typically range from $75-125. My work typically comes finishes in a 4-inch embroidery hoop. Prices are for this size. I am happy to work in larger sizes; prices will be adjusted accordingly — feel free to ask!
-Your deposit is taken off of this total cost.
-Prices include US shipping. I am happy to ship international for an additional cost, which I will calculate for you prior to starting your piece.
What does this process involve?
-You pay your deposit to secure your spot and guaranteed delivery by Christmas.
-You email me your reference photos, and I create a drawing for your approval. I will include a final price at this time.
-You send your remaining payment
-I embroider your portrait!
-I mail your portrait to its destination!
Why do you take a deposit?
-There is a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into running Nudie, and your deposit guarantees I am paid for that time, should you decide to back out of your commission. Your $20 deposit will come off the price of your embroidery. This deposit is non-refundable.
When do I send the remaining payment?
-Once you pay your deposit, please email your reference photo (or photos — if you aren’t sure we can decide together!) to me at [email protected]
-When I receive your photo, I will work on a drawing and send that back to you for approval, as well as give you a final price for your piece.
-The remaining payment will be due before I start embroidering your piece.
Will I be posted/tagged on Instagram?
-Instagram is my primary portfolio of work. I intend to post process pieces and finished photos of your embroidery only. I will never share your photos. I will ask for your Instagram handle and you can decide if you want to be anonymous.
What happens to the photos I send you?
-Once I complete your embroidery, I delete all photos. No pieces will be replicated based on your likeness.
I’m nervous about choosing the right photo. Do you have any tips?
-Your self-timer is your best friend! Set up your phone or camera somewhere and go to town having a photoshoot! Mirror selfies are a lot more difficult to recreate.
-Make sure the area is well lit and your body isn’t heavily shadowed
-You can be as clothed or nude as you feel comfortable
-feel free to send more than one photo if you’re unsure, I strive to make this a collaborative process
